Especially the concrete buildings with aluminium windows and a membrane paint are the ones we get called out too all the time. Leaking windows and leaks seemingly appearing out of nowhere seems to be the common problem.
Where repairs have been carried out we often see a very poor job.
Today as never before the articulation of building exteriors challenge the talent of any sealant installer. Exotic materials designed to handle the diverse properties of expansion and contraction as well as severe exposure too, contributes to this challenge. Another poor job 100 meters of the ground! Water was getting through the concrete as the membrane was not installed correctly. After an extensive clean and drying out period the whole area was water proofed properly. Another very happy client!
High-rise Plumbing is another hard to get to job! Leaking pipes on the outside of the building can get very dirty, however the extremely high cost in most cases leave the body corporate with no choice. Rope access plumbing to the rescue!
In this case the plumber of the building called us in to do a repair job impossible for them to reach It didn't take too long for us to reach the area and to put in a expansion joint. We also cleaned the pipe all the way down so the building looks good again. A very happy body corporate for a fraction of the price!
Today there is hardly any building or structure where we can't get to with rope access.
Therefore all those jobs previously very expensive or impossible are relatively easy and cost effective these days.
